Our Founder - Terry Hookstra
Terry Hookstra, from his humble beginnings, growing up above a bar in Omaha, serving his country in the Navy, and then starting his young career in the computer industry, Terry has always been a forward thinker. For his first entrepreneur journey, Terry created a small computer company. One of his clients was a PEO. After discovering the uniqueness of the PEO industry, he took the challenge of developing a client base for this PEO. After accomplishing this goal, Terry decided to use his entrepreneur skills again and created eEmployers Solutions, Inc. in 1998.


Our CEO - John Ykema
John is a technology enthusiast with over 15 years of experience in the Human Resources Outsourcing and HR Technology industries. Having worked for premier software companies like PrismHR and NetWise Technology, as well as a fast-growing PEO and Staffing Company in Houston, TX, he had an incredible opportunity to learn and grow in an industry he loves.
Over the years, he has managed the successful implementation of enterprise software platforms for clients of all sizes and demographics, from startup companies to some of the largest and most sophisticated in the industry. As our CEO, he works tirelessly to create a culture and ecosystem that results in the best possible experience for our Clients and Worksite Employees.

We offer expertise in Human Resources, Workers’ Compensation & Risk Management, Employee Benefits, Retirement Packages, Payroll Administration and more. We can also offer them two ways. One is as a PEO: through our detailed Customer Service Agreement, we become a co-employer, shouldering most employment liabilities as well as taking on responsibility for compliance issues, and a full range of benefit, payroll, and tax management. The other is via Administrative Services Organization (ASO), a simple fee-based menu of options, from payroll processing to tax filing to benefits administration; however, with this method your organization retains all liability and responsibility for Workmans’ Comp, etc. Both methods can save you overhead and time that can be better used by your own personnel.
