At eESI, we’re fully licensed as a PEO and have been since 1999. We maintain not only our licensing and credentials, but our accreditations with ESAC to reassure our clients of our financial surety and responsibility in handling their employee affairs, association with major professional organizations and awareness of current and upcoming challenges in our industry.
For fiscal responsibility in the PEO industry, this is the gold standard. ESAC provides accreditation only to PEOs that verify compliance with important industry practices. And similar to the FDIC for banks, ESAC includes $16 million in surety bond coverage as financial assurance for clients and employees of accredited PEOs.
Workers’ compensation (“WC”) risk management is an important component of the total human resources solution delivered to business clients by Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs).
WC risk management certification
The PEO WC risk management certification program provides:
- Independent professional verification that a PEO’s risk management program is meeting proven insurance industry risk management best practices to reduce work-related accidents and health exposures and control WC insurance losses;
- PEO client business owners with assurance that their service provider has the capability to deliver important risk management results; and
- WC insurance companies with assurance that a PEO is implementing industry best practices in a consistent and effective manner.
The program was developed through the cooperative efforts of WC insurance companies and PEO industry risk managers and insurance brokers with the support of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) and the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC).
All PEOs are eligible for certification and all duly licensed WC insurance companies and state insurance programs are encouraged to participate in the program.
The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) is the largest trade association for professional employer organizations (PEOs) nationwide. NAPEO provides vital member resources, networking and referrals, education, and effective public relations and marketing support. It also advocates for the interests of its PEO members at all levels of government.
