Well, it’s finally over and we have a new President.  But what will a Trump Administration mean to the workplace?

SHRM posted a series of articles that shows you what to expect:  In Trump’s Ideas for Change in the Workplace, SHRM’s Allen Smith outlines some of the changes Donald Trump mentioned during his campaign … and, in Trump’s First 100 Days, he outlines what changes to expect at the beginning of his term.

One of the most significant workplace changes regards healthcare, where President-elect Trump has vowed to repeal and replace Obamacare.  In A Trump Administration and ACA, Steven Miller examines the kind of changes to ACA one can expect.  And, here at eESI, we’ve prepared a brief, How the Election Affects Compliance Issues, that shows you what impact the new administration may have on ACA, FLSA, and a host of other mandates.

In Leadership, Forbes’s Find the Joy: The Case for Unrelenting Positivity, author Chris Myers presents a few simple truths that leaders may want to consider in light of the recent election.  Disappointment, says Myers, may be expected after any election, but negativity always harms.  Myers believes that leaders can influence those in their company by choosing to see the potential good in situations and events, elections included.

In Productivity, the election produced stress for voters and citizens lined up on either side of the political spectrum.  Inc.’s Turn Stress into Motivation is an insightful article that reveals how a simple 10-minute writing exercise can re-channel your energy and re-energize your purpose.
