Money well spent: Experiences over objects?

With so many things to take care of daily and higher prices all around, we all look forward to a “money well spent,” moment. Have you ever heard anyone say that spending money on experiences is better than spending money on objects? What we spend our money on speaks to what we value most so there’s no one way to decide which is truly better. However, diversifying your spending may help you to feel better about where your money goes. If you find that you spend lots on food, maybe treat yourself to a local show this week instead. If you tend to online shop, it might be a good idea to stash that money toward a road trip. Switching up your spending could be a great opportunity to create memories that last, meet new people, or explore new parts of your town. 

This month is Black History Month and 2024’s theme is “African Americans and the Arts,” celebrating literature and poetry, performing arts, visual arts, music, and digital arts. There are lots of Black History Month events happening all over the country during the entire month.
